Landing Craft

FMG have a fleet of modern well equipped landing craft that are suited to a range of Marine Logistics operations. We have international capable Landing craft as well as some of the largest coastal Landing Craft on the eastern seaboard. Along with a background in tourism sector based LCT’s, FMG was heavily involved in recent oil and gas developments in QLD and we have continued to support these sectors in their operational phases.

Our Landing Craft are maintained to an excellent standard and are often regarded as the best in the sector for versatility, presentation and capability.

Construction Support Equipment

FMG owns and operates a fleet of Tug and Barge combinations to support marine construction activities and these also provide options to our logistics capabilities. Dumb Barges range from 36m to 24m and can be outfitted with spud-type positioning piles, 4-6 point mooring systems and a vast range of other inhouse equipment such as Crawler Cranes, Pile driving leader frames, Piling gates, CAT wheel loaders, JLGS, Site Huts, Welders, Compressors, Pump sets, HPP's etc. Our tugs are fitted with anchor handling equipment and some are fitted with loading cranes. We also provide small tenders and work boats to support these types of operations.

Hard Stand and Load outs

FMG has vast land holdings over 8000m2 and shore side infrastructure which include large workshops and improved, secure hardstand areas at our main operations base in Gladstone Marina QLD. Our waterfront crane yard has a 24m concreted pile assembly bed with steel footings and pipe rotators. FMG owns a number of cyclone rated wet berths to accommodate vessels up to 50m LOA in addition to this we also have heavy load capable RORO ramps and Load outs. We also have swing mooring installations in the nearby Calliope River.
